Farshid Sam Rahbar, M.D., FACP is a board-certified physician in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Specializing in liver and digestive disorders as well as general internal medicine, preventive medicine and nutrition, he is affiliated with Century City Hospital, Los Angeles, where he served as the Chief of Gastroenterology from 1993-1995, and is currently an attending physician. He is also an attending physician with teaching assignments at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Rahbar did his surgical residency at the New Rochelle Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York and his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, New York. His Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Nutrition was done at the Loma Linda University Medical Center and Veterans Administration Hospital in Loma Linda California

Dr. Rahbar is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) anda member of several medical societies including: the Southern California Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and the American Society for Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (ASPEN).

Dr. Rahbar opened his practice in the Beverly Hills area in 1986. Since then, he has maintained a special interest in toxicology and occupational and environmental medicine in addition to his active medical practice. When appropriate, he incorporates alternative medicine with conventional medicine to enhance the physical and psychological well being of his patients and to promote the healing process.

Dr. Rahbar's clinical practice and special interests include: Consultative Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Liver Disease and Inflammatory Bowl Disease (IBD), Clinical Nutrition, Occupational and Environmental Illnesses in relation to GI illness, Preventive Medicine, Toxic Exposure and its effect on the GI system, Medical-Legal Services, and Clinical Research.

Dr. Sion Nobel has been involved in internal medicine and general practice since 1974. He has extensive exposure to and active participation in a variety of treatments of inpatient and outpatient dermatological disease, including biopsy and pathology. His postgraduate work is from both USC and UCLA where he had a combined residency in both physical medicine and rehabilitation.

In 1991, Dr. Nobel was asked to help treat illnesses during the Persian Gulf War. During the mid-1990s he was Diplomat for the American Academy of Pain Management and a Diplomat Candidate with the American Board of Chelation Therapy. He was also a part of the American Academy of Dermatology and Facial Plastic Surgery forty-hour video seminar.

Dr. Nobel is certified for skin rejuvenation and laser surgery with DermaPlast Laser Centers. He has a Preceptorship under Dr. Richard E. Fitzpatrick, M.D. at the Dermatology Associates of San Diego County, Inc. He also did a Visiting Fellowship in Dermatology at the University of Wisconsin Medical School and is board certified with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Dr. Nobel is the Director of PMXR Medical Management of musculoskeletal disease, neurological disorders and rehabilitation, operation of electro physiology lab (this includes EMB and NCS) at the Simi Heath Center Medical Group in Mission Hills, California. During his tenure, he has restructured the outpatient and physical therapy departments, expanded the facility to include sports injuries and orthopedic cases, and has established patient progress standards/staff performance evaluations.

His professional experience also includes the treatment of stroke, head trauma, and spinal cord injuries at the Cedar-Sinai Rehabilitation Center in Los Angeles, California.

Costas C. Loullis, Ph.D.



 

Dr. Loullis has served as a company officer and key member of a number of executive management teams in four biotechnology companies where he headed R&D and was fully engaged in strategic planning, operations, fund raising and business development as well as budget generation and oversight.

Prior to this, he served in various scientific and management roles of increasing responsibility in big Pharma R&D, within American Cyanamid and Rhone Poulenc Rorer. He has over twenty-five years of broad experience in all aspects of Research and Development in many therapeutic areas, and a keen sense for product positioning in the marketplace. He has focused his efforts on streamlining these processes using a combination of internal and external contract resources.

He has successfully shepherded drug products from research into pre-clinical and clinical trials many times, while fostering translational medicine and project management principles.

Dr. Loullis founded Anixis Biomedical Consulting, providing the pharmaceutical industry with strategic planning, drug and business development services. These include a wide range of Research, Pre-clinical and Clinical drug development services, formulating and assessing business plans, and assessing technology platforms, drug candidates and other assets, with respect to business and business development goals.


Hector J. Gomez, MD, PhD



 

Dr Gomez has over twenty years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including eight years in biotech companies. He managed the development of several drugs, 10 of them currently in the market. His experience includes prescription drugs, homeopathic medications and dietary supplements.

Dr. Gomez has previously served as President and CEO of Transcend Therapeutics, Inc. and CEO of Zengen, Inc. He also served as Vice President of Medical Affairs for Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Executive Director with Ciba-Geigy Corporation, Director and Senior Director at Merck/MSDRL Corporation, CMO for Apollo Pharmaceuticals and CMO for DNAprint genomics, Inc.

He served on the Board of Directors of DNAprint genomics, Inc. (Chairman of the BOD), Apollo Pharmaceuticals Inc.and Biofrontera AG.

Dr. Gomez received an M.D. from the National University of Colombia, a Ph.D. from Marquette University and a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacology from Tulane University.
